University of Sussex conducts Dr John Birch Music Scholarship across Inidia

INTRODUCTION

The University of Sussex is delighted to honour its much loved former music lecturer and organist Dr John Birch (1929-2012), with these named scholarships to support talented musicians (choral, organ and other instrumentalists) to continue to develop and perform while studying at Sussex. These are open to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students, whether or not they are studying for a Music degree.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Any Graduate. Must be Grade 8 in chosen instrument and undertake an audition. Recipient must agree to perform in a minimum number of institutional events.

PAY PACKAGE

Four scholarships of �£800 cash award. Each scholarship is for 1 year. 30th September 2016: Close of Applications. October 2016: Applications invited to audition. 31st October 2016: Applicants notified of outcome of selection process. 31st November 2016 and 30 April 2017: Payment dates.
